AUDREY JOHNSON ZIMMERLE, Newberry Springs, CA For ten years Audrey was owner-operator of Audrey's Reprographics Inc., a typesetting business in downtown L.A. Then they moved to a rural desert community of Newberry Springs, 25 miles from Barstow. She and her husband Bob published the Newberry Springs Opinion for 5 years. Audrey is now a government employee at the Marine Corps Logistics Base. Audrey has six step-children, 11 step-grandchildren, and adopted Mexican son and his two children. Audrey has lived in Hawaii, Phoenix, L.A. Gardena, etc. They now have 5 acres of their own land, 2 small ponds, one with catfish and one with bluegilla, bass and Japanese koi. They are both active in the American Legion. Audrey is presently secretary of the local Business Association, secretary of the Youth Committee, secretary of the Legion Auxiliary and on the Telephone Advisory Committee and the 4th of July Committee. Bob organized their local Blood Bank so Audrey helps with that too.
EARL JOHNSON, Yankton, SD Earl received his B.S. Degree in Vocational Education and Industrial Arts from the U of SD at Springfield. He entered the service in the winter of 1959 and spent time at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO and Ft. Lewis, WA training soldiers how to build bridges. In the fall of 1961, he started his teaching career at Edgemont, SD. For 4 years he taught 8th grade math, coached basketball and track. He served as Jr. Principal the last 2 years. In 1964, he moved to Yankton, SD. The position was to organize a new art department at the senior high and teach drafting. He has taught Industrial Art and art courses for the past 21 years (14 of those years he was Department head). In 1970, he went to Europe with 12 high school students and 2 other teachers. They spent 7 weeks touring Europe. Then he returned and married a surgical nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital. He took a sabbatical leave and attended Colorado State at Ft. Collins and in 1971 he received his Masters Degree plus 16 hours in Vocational Education and Administration. Their son, Butch, was born in 1971 and Susan was born in 1975. In 1980, he book a 7 week trip to the Hawaiian Islands, Guam, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand. Their exchange student (of 1983) returned in 1985 with 3 of Earl's cousins from Denmark for a month. 1986 was a big year for the Johnson family. Susan placed 2nd in the Winter National Swim Meet in Rochester, MM and set 7 SD State Records. Butch won 'Rookie of the year Award' in cross country and lettered as a freshman. Earl celebrated 25 years of teaching and coaching.
DWAYNE C. KASE,
Phoenix, AZ
Dwayne worked for the State of South Dakota for a period of 15 years. Then he moved to Phoenix in 1984 and is employed by the State of Arizona as an auditor. His wife, Joanne, is Assistant Auditor (Sales) at Target. They have 2 daughters. Lisa is graduating from Stewarts School of Hairstyling, Sioux Falls, SD in the summer of 1986. Lori is a freshman at Shadow Mountain High School, Phoenix, AZ
HILDA KELLER MCRODEN,
Davenport, IA
Since graduation "Skip" has had a variety of jobs from selling appliances to piercing ears. Her hobbies are: country and western music, dancing, fishing, and bowling. She has 2 daughters: Kerrie is 27 and Laurie is 26. She also has 4 grandchildren: Jessica 6, Michael 4, Travis 3, and Daniel 10 months. Skip writes she is divorced, but enjoying life very much.
JERRY KING, 7744 Airport Blvd., Houston, TX Jerry graduated in 1960 from the University of Nebr. with a B.S. in E.E. From 1960-1969 he was a pilot with the U.S. Navy stationed in Iceland, Europe, Florida and Georgia. 1969-1972! he was a pilot with Honeywell, Inc., Minneapolis, MM. Since 1974 he has been a pilot with Trunkline Gas, Houston, TX. Jerry has been married for 26 years. They have two children. Scott graduated in Geology from the Univ. of Houson. Valerie is a student at Stephen F. Austin in Computer Science.
CAROL KIPP BAILEY, 1605 Lincoln Blvd. Tracy, CA In 1975, Carol was living in Coalinga with her husband, Ron, who was working for Union Oil Co. and her two sons, Todd and Michael. She was substituing in the schools and also had a sewing and alteration business in her home. Then her husband went to Stockton - Tracy area - with his company in January of 1977. She was an Avon Representative for over 5 years. She did some substituting in schools then started to do some waitress work in 1980 because of her divorce. She is now a waitress in Tracy and has her own apartment and her sons, now 15 and 20, live with their father in Manteca. Carol and her mother will be driving back to South Dakota this summer so Carol will be at the reunion.
JAMES KORCAL, 703 Geneva Street, West Dundee, IL After graduating from WHS Jim attended John Carroll U. in Cleveland, Ohio, for one year. Then went to SDSU in 1956-57. He then Joined the Army and attended the US Army Airborne and Ranger Schools where he learned "to do dumb things like jump out of airplanes and eat snakes." He also attended all the Signal Corps Photographic Schools and the US Army Aviation School. He served in Lebanon, Germany, Korea, Viet Nam and a few other garden spots on freedom's frontier, keeping the world safe for democracy. After leaving the Army in 1966 he entered the Photographic Industry as a Technical Sales Representative for Agfa-Gevaert Inc. for 12 1/2 years. He is currently a District Sales Manager with Ilford, Inc., whom he joined in 1979. While stationed in Germany he married Uta Dressier of Waibllngen, Germany. They have 4 children. Joe ia 24 years old. Denice is 23 years old. She graduated from Ohio U's Honors College auma cum laude in Modern Languages (Spanish). Margot is 21. She graduated from Elgin Community College with a degree in Nursing Science and is a R.N. Tom is 20 years old. Jim and Uta live in a big old Victorian house in W. Dundee, IL, 48 miles NW of Chicago. They have a dog named Tony and two cats (brothers) named Lewis & Clark. Uta likes to quilt, cook, bake, garden, play with her house and travel. Jim likes to read, shoot trap, work like hell, attend college on weekends, play with his computer and travel.
BARBARA LAFROMBOISE ENDRES,
Aberdeen, SD
Barb and her husband Tom have lived in Aberdeen for the past 19 years. Tom is a Special Representative for Ralph R. Overholt Co. selling crop insurance. Barb has been working at Northwest Fabrics for the past two and a half years. They have 5 children. Rich is 27 and works at Service Signs in Aberdeen. Diana is 25 and works at St. Luke's Hospital. She married Shane Perguson on February 9, 1985. Kay is 20 years old and is a student at Northern State College and works part-time at the Dairy Queen. Paul is 11 and in the 4th grade. Michael is 9 and in the 3rd grade. They are both into snow-mobiling. The family still does some camping, fishing and hiking. Barb likes sewing, doing crafts and crocheting
DORIS LAMKE WESIERSKE, 1771 Oakland Dr, Madison Heights, MI Doris graduated from SDSU. Her first teaching position was teaching science in Bellevue, Nebraska. There she met and married Don, who was teaching physics at the high school. They spent a year at the U. of Mississippi where Don did graduate work and two years in Albuquerque, N.M. where Doris completed her Master's degree. The past 20 years both Don and Doris have been teaching high school math in Madison Heights, MI. Their classrooms are next door to each other. They have been married for 25 years and have 5 children; Paul, 23; Jeanne, 21; Scott, 19; Don, 16, and Anne, 8. Paul is an electronics technician and Jeanne is a 3rd year chemistry major at Lawrence Institute of Technology. She will be going to Europe this summer to continue her studies. They have a travel trailer and enjoy traveling. This year they are planning a Spring Cruise to the Caribbean and a summer trip to Ontario.

DENNY LABSON, 1800 Ivanhoe Way, Las Vegas, NV Denny attended Concordia College in 1955-56. Then in 1957 he joined the Marine Corp. where he stayed until 1960. From 1960-62 he worked for the Telephone Co. in Moorhead, MN. He was Sales Manager for the Telephone Co. in Las Vegas from 1963-1984. In 1985 he assumed his present position with National Pay Telephones (private ownership of pay-phones) Nevada Sales Directory. Denny had three children. Bradley passed away from a brain tumor. Mark is married and has a daughter. He has a TV business in Florida. Holly is a Dental Assistant in Las Vegas and is not married. He and his first wife are divorced and he has since remarried. He is still healthy, no major sickness, still water skis, fishes and goes camping. Denny says, "Hello everyone! If you get down this way, please call."
GARY K. LIEN, 14620 Bowers Drive NW, Anoka, MN Gary graduated from SDSU in 1962. He was employed by the South Dakota Welfare Dept. from 1962-1966. During 1966 and 1967 he was employed by the Anoka County (Minnesota) Welfare Dept. He is presently employed by the Minnesota Depfc. of Human Services - stationed at the Anoka State Hospital as Sr. Social Worker. He has held this position since 1967. In 1967 he married Burnetta Pierce of Anoka, MN. They have two children: Hallie is 17 years old and Eric is 13 years old. Gary's hobbies are traveling and antiques.
MILO V. LINES, 803 Main, Sac City, IA After graduating from SDSU in 1959 in Pharmacy, Milo put his stint in with good Old Uncle Sam, then he returned to the Sac City Drug, where his partner (his sister) try to maintain a good living. While at SDSU Milo met and married Sally, a nursing student from Pierre. Milo was mayor of Sac City for three terms and says, "After I didn't run again, three banks closed in our county and the farm economy went down hill in the past 2 years." They are also in the popcorn processing and sell to many South Dakota towns for fund raising under the Noble Popcorn Farms name. Milo said we are supposed to buy a pail of popcorn and think of them in Iowa. They have three daughters. Shelly is a parole and probation officer in Missouri. Julie is employed with the Sac County Ambulance. Rhonda is attending Univ. of N. Iowa working on a CPA. Milo writes, "Also bought my first Terry Redlin print a few years ago - good going, Terry'"
DON LORTZ, 241 Krotiak Road, Park Forest, IL Don spent two years at Concordia College. Then he worked at Boeing Aircraft Co. in Seattle and the South Dakota Highway Dept. in Pierre. Eighteen years ago they moved to Park Forest. Don was an electrical contractor for 11 years in Park Forest. For the past 8 years he has been in Electrical maintenance at Park Forest Co-op (385 apts). Don and Deanna Rausch have been married for 28 years. They have 3 children: Laurie, 27; Brad, 23; and Sarah, 13. Laurie is married and has 2 children. Brad will be married in September. They spend as much time in the great outdoors as possible. They have a trailer on Wagner Lake (Michigan) and spend most of the summer fishing Lake Michigan and St. Joe River. RONALD M. LOVICK, 6832 Columbus Ave., Richfield, MN Ron has been with the Norwest Corporation for 24 years. He is currently located on the 11th floor of the Peavey Building in downtown Minneapolis. They have lived in Richfield, MN, for 20 years. His wife, Kathy, works at Richfield City Hall with an H.R.A. housing program. They have two sons - Michael, 22 and Tyrone, 19. Both sons are attending the University of Minnesota.
