MARY ANN MACDONALD MONDLOCH, 19 White Oak Dr, Lafayette, CA Mary Ann graduated from Northern State Teachers in Aberdeen with teaching credentials. She taught elementary school in Rapid City while Dick attended school. She traveled extensively with Dick throughout the US during his employment with G.E. and Honeywell. They settled in Northern California in the late 1970's. In 1980, Mary opened her own business in Dublin, CA, wholesale, retail laboratory supplies - employs six people and has an annual sales of $700,000 per year. They have two sons: Scott and Michael. Their daughter Vicki is married and has two girls: Amber and Lacey (3 and 1 1/2)
HELEN MARQDARDT ROMAN, 2930 Memorial Dr, Sioux City, IA When Helen finished school, she went on to Macalester College in St. Paul, got a B.S. in 1959 and then married that August to Ted Roman. They lived in the East for two years, then to an Indian Reservation, where Ted served as a physician and Helen taught in the Indian school. Then, the next 8 years they were in Martin, SD -during that time she worked in Ted's office. They made several moves since 1970, Rochester, Waterloo, Iowa City and for the last 8 years Sioux City. Helen works in the office and is a mom, housekeeper, church choir member, etc., etc. They have three daughters. Valerie is to be a sophomore in high school next year. Christine is at Northwestern College and Beth will start Cornell College in the Fall. Helen writes, "Beth was editor of her school annual so looking through it brought back memories of our years together in Watertown, and though I won't be able to be back in July, I send you my love and know you will have a good time talking over the past and present."
MARY MARQUARDT, 9569 Trail East Rd, Bloomington, MN Mary says her permanent home is Richfield Senior High School In Minneapolis. To date, she has had nearly 10,000 students, some brighter than others but all interesting and challenging. Two years ago she had a sabbatical leave and finished 'some reading and writing for another degree from Hamline. Also, whenever possible, she has traveled away from the Midwest. Last year it was to Russia, but this year South Dakota seemed the most attractive option.
ANNETTE MCALLISTER LANCE, 765 South 3rd Ave, Sioux Falls, SD After leaving Watertown, Annette and her husband, Russ moved to Sioux Falls. They have lived there for 28 years. Annette has worked off and on out of the home, but is principally a homemaker and mother. Annette and Russ are active in Lions. They enjoy camping and traveling. But the thing they enjoy the most is being with their families, children and grandchild. They have six children, Mark, 29; Neal, 27; Todd, 24, Scot, 23; Joel, 18; and Renae is 11. They have one grandchild name Cullen in Billings, Montana.
MARLIS McGILLIVARY DAGEL, 308 4th Ave, SW, Watertown, SD Marlis is still secretary and bookkeeper for DK Diesel Inc., which she and John co-own with another partner. They are the D of DK. John is still Diesel Department Head and Instructor at Lake Area Voc. Tech. Institute. John has written and Marlis typed (about 10 times) a text book, "Diesel Engine Repair" for post secondary and vocational schools. Writing the text book was an immense undertaking and took about 5 years of their lives. They have just now finished with the revised edition. They have 3 children, Jon, 30; Keith, 28; Lynet, 24; and one grandson Jeremiah, 6. They also have a Dutch daughter Monique (hosted AFS) whom they have visited in Holland. John and Marlis enjoy all outdoor activities and Marlis bowls, plays bridge, and reads when time permits.
LEONE MIKKELSON ZIMMERMAN, 8430 NE 170 St, Bothel, WA Leone received her BS in Music Education at Northwestern U in Evanston, IL in 1958. She studied music in Vienna, Austria on SD Rotary Club Scholarship 1958-59. She taughfc music in North Plainfield, NJ. Leone married Stan Zimmerman at Christmas in 1959. Stan is an airline pilot so they have been able to travel a lot. They have lived most of the time in California (LA area). Moved permanently to Seattle in 1982. Leone has taught music in school and privately, played in orchestras and chamber music and has been active in church music. They have 2 children. Gretchen was born in 1962. She got married in 1985 and is an engineer. Bill was born in 1964 and is still in college. Bill wants to be a professional pilot. They enjoy the outdoors and have made many camping and boating trips. They play tennis and Leone likes to golf and go sailing. All 4 of them have pilot's licenses. Now that the nest is empty, Leone has just started to sell Real Estate.
GEORGE J. MILLER, 189 6th Street, NE, Watertown, SD George served in the Navy from 1955 - 1959. Then he worked for Dakota Welding from 1960 to 1962. He joined the Watertown City Fire Department in 1963 and was made Captain in 1971. In 1976 he received his present rank of Assistant Chief. George married Marcella Breen in 1961. They have 3 children. Murice is 23, Joe is age 22 and Arden is 16 years old. His hobbies are fishing and hunting.
MARCILE (MARCY) MILLS HARVISON, P.O. Box 406, Winnfield, LA Since graduating from school Marcy lists her employment as: Clerk at Herbergers 1961-1963. Secretary for R.J. and Tom Roby 1963-1964, Waitress at the Plateau 1964-1965, Bookkeeper for Trisco Feeds 1965-1966, Head waitress in Minneapolis at the Voyaguer Motel 1966-67, Waitress at Leo's Good Food - Watertown 1967-69, Metermaid for Watertown Police Dept. 1969-1979, Graduated from S.D. Real Estate School 1978, Sales person for Schenecker Real Estate 1978-1980, Head Waitress at the Holiday Inn - Watertown - 1980-1982, Sales person for Century 21/West Friske Realtors - 1982. Marcy moved to Winnfield, LA in 1982. She has 1 daughter, Christy, and 2 grandchildren - Sara and Robert Meyers.
JOYCE MOES, 611 3rd Avenue, SE, Watertown, SD Joyce remained in Waterfcown following graduation. In February, 1957 she started working for First Citizens National Bank now known as Norwest Bank South Dakota, N.A. In February of 1987 she will have completed her 30th year with them. She has one son, Rodney with whom she has enjoyed many outdoor activities over the years, both winter and summer. In 1977 he graduated from the Drafting Class at Lake Area Vo Tech in Watertown, he then moved to Santa Barbara, CA where he is now a Drafting Supervisor, and where she now enjoys her vacations, most of them a very nice "winter break."
RICHARD MONDLOCH, 19 White Oak Drive, Lafayette, CA Dick graduated from S.D. School of Mines in 1960. Until 1970 he was with General Electric in engineering and Sales. He was then in Sales and Management with Honeywells Computer Operation on the West Coast until 1982. He is currently in sales management for a new company, high tech, venture capital start-up based in California. File Net - computer imaging systems. Dick and Mary Ann have 3 children. The two boys are in college. Their daughter is married, has two children and lives in northern California.
CONNIE MUGGERUD BOWERS, 2845 High St. SE, Salem, OR The summer after graduation in 1955 Connie moved with her family to Oregon. She has worked in the field of Automotive Accounting since 1957. She is presently office manager for International GMC Truck Dealer where she has worked for the last 15 years. She is divorced and has 2 children. Kristin is 20 years old and Greg is 14. She has devoted most of her time since graduation to working and raising children which has not left much time for many other personal accomplishments, as they have been a single parent family for 12 years. Connie says, "Wish I were able to join in the reunion fun, maybe for the 40th. Best wishes to all who remember' me."
RUTH NELSON OLSON, 718 2nd Ave, SE, Water-town, SD Since 1955 Ruth has acquired a couple of college degrees and for 26 years has attempted to teach the refinements of the English language to a captive and Occasionally reluctant audience of 3,300 teenagers at Watertown Junior High. When things get dull, Ruth and her husband. Chuck, redecorate another room in the 100 year old Victorian house which they share with a destructive cat. Their idea of a really good time is going to London, which they have done twice. Besides traveling, their hobbies are reading and avoiding any form of aerobic exercise.
ANTHEA PETERSON KJERULFF, 1219 Limerick Dr, Placentia, CA Anthea married Ev Kjerulff (Class of 1954) in 1957. She graduated from U of California at Long Beach, 1960, English major. Taught school a few years before having children. Lisa, 23, a graduate Physical Therapist works and lives in Costa Mesa, CA. Elaine, 21, is a junior at U of California Fullerton, majoring in economics and finance. She will spend next year studying at Univ. of Copenhagen. Anthea is a homemaker - involved in volunteer activities, church and community. Her hobbies are sewing and stitchery. She has lived in California since 1958.
